Description

A tropical, evergreen grass that forms clumps and can grow up to 2.5 meters tall. It has long, thin, bright green leaves and a reddish pseudostem (the base of the leaf blade). The plant produces small, creamy-white flowers on spikes that rise above the foliage. Citronella grass is native to tropical Asia and is the source of citronella oil, which is used as a natural insect repellent.
